Tonight I met with a group of evangelists to do some fishing at a spring festival. The police do not allow people to distribute material such as tracts inside the barriers, but outside you may do whatever you want. We set up next to the entrance barriers and began passing out tracts. A teenager stopped as I handed him a gospel tract.
Me: Do you have a church background?
Teen: No.
Me: Really? What is it like not having a church background in the Bible belt?
Teen: It doesn't bother me one bit. I work out and go to school and that sums up my life.
Me: Would you consider yourself to be a good person?
Teen: Yes.
I walked him through the Ten Commandments and he admitted to being a liar and an adulterer at heart.
Me: If God were to judge you by the Ten Commandments, would you be guilty or innocent of breaking His laws?
Teen: Guilty.
Me: Would you go to heaven or hell?
Teen: Hell.
Me: Does that concern you?
Teen: Not really.
Me: Are you sure about that? Hell is a horrible place. You don't want to go to the lake of fire do you?
Teen: Looks like I will be swimming in hell and I am okay with that.
Me: Have a good night.
He looked at me with a smile as if I was to find his answer amusing. I turned and began looking for another opportunity. His blood is not on my hands.
