What's Up Wednesday

Wow, it's been so long! Almost 4 years ago already. It's funny how so much has changed, but I could still say the same thing about being bored. This blog has been so good to show me patterns in my thinking. What We're Eating this Week...lots of yummy lunches. One is toast, eggs cooked with feta, topped with sliced avocado, sprinkled with salt flakes, and then drizzled with honey and chili crunch oil. Mango on the side and it's delicious! Also sliced cherry tomatoes and fresh mozzarella on toast, drizzled with balsamic reduction, sprkinkled with oregano and basil and then rosette on the side. What I'm Reminiscing About...I know now to be careful with this, but I'm reminiscing about visiting the US, going to Target, getting coffee and other things to go, going through drive-thrus, hanging out with our older kids...sunshine...I wish we could take a trip there! What I'm Loving...we've had more sunny days in the last week and it's been so nice! I've also been not eating real dessert and the scale is finally inching down after continually moving up for the last several years. It did get jump started by a stomach virus, but I'm thankful that I've had more self-control in that area lately. I'm really hoping it helps my face to slim down. That's what I really notice when I'm not loving what the scale says. I'm also thankful to be not minding doing the elliptical while I listen to Marco Polos from Abby or voicenotes from Chandra. What We've Been Up To...it's been an okay break. We went to Ikea for lunch, Chipotle after church, le salon de l'agriculture to lose Ryan and be in too many crowds...and we've been going to Eglise Bonne Nouvelle. We're getting ready to welcome the Gervacios and start our new church soon. What I'm Dreading...hmm...I'm a little nervous about how the church is going to go, but not necessarily dreading it. I'm kind of dreading a boring year with no trips to the US, but I'm trying to have a better attitude about that. What I'm Excited About...spring! And we're supposed to go to Scotland to a Pillar conference, the Gervacios coming, Mom, Bob, Jim and Melanie coming (hoping it's fun) What I'm Watching/Reading...A storm in the dessert podcast, Tim Keller messages, Baylen out Loud, Love is Blind What I'm Listening To..I forgot, but Trusting God by Jerry Bridges, The Lazy Genius podcast, Pastor Talk, Priscilla Talk What I'm Wearing...I'm in a clothes rut, but I do love my Adidas Spezials. I switched out my clothes to try to wear more spring shirts cardigans What I'm Doing This Weekend...hopefully we're going to have people over after church? But I do need to invite them What I'm Looking Forward to Next Month...Ryan's birthday, Alyssa's birthday (sad that she's not with us), Emma's birthday, grandparents visit
